There are times when we may feel isolated and alone, listening to the lie that we are not accepted due to external influences and the voices within us. These voices are often used by the adversary, known as the accuser, or Satan, who seeks to make us feel that we are alone in this battle, devoid of hope or help. According to scripture, that is not the case!

What comforting words we find in the book of Romans: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” God is for you! The accuser lies! God is for you—yes, you! Even more than that, “who can come against you?” Jesus is for you, all principalities and powers are subject to Him and placed under His feet (Ephesians 1:22). This means that no adversary, no accuser, nor any accusation can hold weight or stick, because you are justified in Christ.

Paul elaborates on this in Ephesians 2:5-6, stating that we are seated with Him in heavenly places. Our focus can now be on Christ’s redemptive work in our lives, rather than hiding and feeling isolated. When we sin we can come with assurance saying, “Daddy, look what I have done,” knowing He will cleanses us through His Son and teaches us how to live in righteousness (Genesis 3:8, 1 John 1:9). There is no more hiding and no more separation (Isaiah 59:2).

If we allow Paul’s teachings to dwell in our hearts and take root in our minds, we will live in true freedom. Do you believe that Jesus loves you? (John 3:16) Do you believe that Jesus paid your debt of sin on the cross? (Colossians 2:14) Do you trust that Jesus’ death is sufficient to satisfy the wrath of God? (Isaiah 53:5-6, 10-11; Hebrews 9:26) Do you believe Jesus lived the life you could not and died the death on your behalf? (2 Corinthians 5:21)

If you believe these truths, then there is no condemnation for you. You have an advocate in heaven who pleads your case, affirming that your debt is paid! (1 John 2:1) If this is true, nothing can separate us from the love of God ever again; you are secure! If you want to grow in that security, look to Jesus, see what He has done for us, and believe. Be secure! In Christ, your sins have been conquered; you are more than a conqueror (Ephesians 3:18)

“In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” — 1 John 4:9-10

Father God show us the greatness of the love you have for us and that we would truly know this love, that we will experience this love, and share it with others.
